Daren Durkin – Managing Director
Daren founded the company with three core principles in mind.

From his early years working in a Slaughterhouse, Daren has over 30 years’ experience in the Meat Industry and has amassed a considerable degree of knowledge on Production, Processing and Supply Chain. He enjoys strategic relationships at the highest level with some of Europe’s Major Producers where his knowledge and Industry experience are much sought after! Despite his respected position, Daren still ‘leads from the front’ and recognises the importance of regular dialogue with all the company’s customer base.

Jacob Durkin – Company Director
Jacob has a much deserved reputation as an outstanding Strategic Marketer. From gaining an impressive Honours degree in International Business he has facilitated in the steady growth of Trentham Foods working to Daren’s sound and ethical business practice. Under Jacob’s guidance, the company has undergone a steady period of sustainable growth. From the company’s inception as a specialist supplier of Poultry, Jacob has overseen the growth of the ‘original’ product portfolio by listening to the customer base and what they require, thus ensuring that Trentham Foods are surely ‘solutions providers’ in their field.
Ben Turner – Operations Manager
Ben has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth since joining Trentham Foods four years ago. With his impressive academic and financial background (MSc in Finance) Ben is not only responsible for Financial Planning, but also monitors the company’s Supply Chain Management and Logistics Control. As the company continues to grow, he continues to develop and improve the company data bases whilst upholding the company’s ethical trading principles in adhering to strict observance of GDPR rules.
Matthew Whyatt – Logistics Coordinator
Matt has a strong background in administration across a variety of businesses, with a natural organised and adaptable nature he assists across the whole company to keep things running smoothly, overseeing transport and logistics as well as order processing and liaising with suppliers. He also looks after the technical side regarding product specifications, technical questionnaires and any BRC related queries.
Dan Counter – Business Development Manager
With his impressive background in Director level Account Management, Logistics and Business Development, Dan was clearly a ‘great fit’ for Trentham Foods. He has a consultative approach to his customers, with a proven track record in building long lasting business relationships. Moreover, he espouses the Trentham Foods philosophy of ‘Service Excellence’.
A graduate in Physiotherapy, Dan is a keen and committed sportsman driven to the same standards excellence on the sports field as in the workplace. He also has a ‘passion’ for great food and is appreciative of the high quality of the products in the Trentham Foods portfolio.
Sarah Ellam – Accounts & Admin Assistant

The above represents but one of the many positive comments used to describe Sarah. With a 1st Class Honours Degree in Marketing Management, she successfully allies her impressive academic ability to practical, pragmatic application. Away from the office, Sarah enjoys travelling and eating out.
Paige James – Admin Assistant
We are greatly impressed with Paige’s interpersonal skills, professional demeanour and a ‘can do’ attitude. She brings an extensive track record of achievement from her previous roles and since joining Trentham Foods, has demonstrated herself to be both methodical and customer focused. Outside of the workplace, Paige enjoys going for long walks.
Joseph Minor – Sales & Business Development Manager
Joseph has been in sales for over 15 years and comes with a mixed background of successful sales experience, from account management to business development. The last 5 years he has worked in construction, supplying building materials across the UK to well-known distributors, merchants, and contractors.
Ryan Jebson – Sales & Business Development Manager
Ryan has an esteemed background in sales, business development, and account management. Having managed some large customer profiles over the years, through wholesale and distribution channels, from Health Food and Cyber Security industries. He has gained a wealth of experience, with a strong focus on customer relationships. Identifying and understanding the customer’s specific needs and requirements, to provide the best possible service.
Rosie Rowles – Marketing & Logistics Administrator
Rosie is the Marketing and Logistics Administrator at Trentham Foods Ltd, supporting both brand promotion and day-to-day operations. From coordinating marketing activity to managing orders and logistics, she helps ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
